Phlebotomy Training Courses for Beginners cater to all ages, backgrounds, and qualification levels. They are suitable for those aspiring to become phlebotomists or transitioning careers. Even individuals with little to no healthcare experience can benefit, such as clinic or hospital administrative staff, care home workers, support workers, therapists, and pharmacists.

Attend the two-day Introductory Phlebotomy Training Course (Stage 1), which awards a Level 3 Certificate in Introduction to Phlebotomy (FP139). This course has no formal entry requirements, although all teaching is in English. After completing Stage 1, you can progress to the Phlebotomy Live Bloods Clinic Sessions (Stage 2). This training held at our partner NHS facility, which awards an NHS Certificate of Competency in Phlebotomy upon completion.

Phlebotomy Practical Course – Live Bloods Clinic Sessions (Stage 2)

Under the supervision of our expert trainers, the final stage of our Phlebotomy training (Stage 2) gives you the chance to practice live blood taking with real patients in an NHS facility. Here you can put your previous Phlebotomy theoretical knowledge and dry lab experience to use in a clinical setting, performing all the tasks would need to carry out as a practicing phlebotomist.

Number of Phlebotomy sessions are determined based on need and dates are arranged on your completion of Phlebotomy Training Course for Beginners (Stage 1). Upon meeting the necessary criteria, you will receive a Certificate of Competency in Phlebotomy. This certificate is awarded jointly with the NHS Clinic where your sessions are held. It marks the conclusion of your training, equipping you to commence work as a qualified Phlebotomist.
