Phlebotomy Training Courses

Phlebotomy Training Courses for Beginners and Experienced Professionals

Our Phlebotomy training courses are suitable for candidates of all ages, backgrounds and levels of qualifications seeking to train as phlebotomists, either as their first occupation or as part of a career change. They are not only suitable for those currently working in healthcare, but have little or no experience of phlebotomy (Clinic/Hospital Administrative Staff, Care Home Workers, Support Workers, Therapists, Pharmacists etc.) but also for healthcare professionals (Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Army & Fitness Medics and other Clinical & Laboratory Staff) who have some previous experience of blood taking and other invasive procedures but wish to consolidate their knowledge, specialise in this area or gain certification for existing skills.

The starting point is to attend the two-day Introductory Phlebotomy training Course (Stage 1) which awards a Level 3 Certificate in Introduction to Phlebotomy (FP139) – this course has no formal entry requirements, though all teaching is delivered in English. You can then move on to the Live Bloods Clinic Sessions (Stage 2) which take place in an NHS facility and award an NHS Certificate of Competency on completion.
